Nickel titanium alloy rope is very sturdy, with high strength, super elasticity, fatigue resistance, and corrosion resistance. It is more durable than ordinary steel wire rope in dynamic/repeated stress scenarios.


1、 Core strength data

Tensile strength: about 1000-1500 MPa (better than 500-800 MPa for ordinary steel wire)

Fracture elongation rate: 20%+, not prone to brittle fracture

Super elasticity: can withstand 8% strain and fully recover (ordinary steel<1%)

Fatigue resistance: can withstand millions of cycles without breaking, suitable for repeated bending/stretching

Strength: Nickel titanium rope ≥ steel wire rope; Lighter weight (about 30% lighter under the same strength)

Elasticity: Nickel titanium rope is super elastic and recoverable; Steel wire rope is prone to permanent deformation and fatigue breakage

Corrosion resistance: Nickel titanium rope is resistant to acid and alkali/seawater/human body fluids; Steel wire rope is prone to rust and requires maintenance

Lifespan: Under dynamic working conditions, the lifespan of nickel titanium rope is 3-5 times that of steel wire rope

Medical: Orthopedic fixation, minimally invasive instruments (biocompatible, fluid resistant)

Aerospace: lightweight, high-strength, vibration/fatigue resistant

Marine/Chemical: Long term corrosion resistance, maintenance free

Sports equipment/shock absorption: repeated stretching and bending, good rebound


Not recommended

Low cost static hoisting (not as cost-effective as ordinary steel wire rope)

Long term high temperature>200 ℃ (strength and elasticity decrease)
