Nickel-titanium ropes, with their unique advantages such as shape memory, superelasticity, corrosion resistance, and biocompatibility, have a wide range of applications, mainly covering the following categories:

1. Medical field

    This is one of the core application areas of nickel-titanium ropes, benefiting from their excellent biocompatibility and superelasticity.

  •     Orthopedics: Elastic cables used for internal fixation of fractures can provide continuous and stable fixation force, and no secondary surgery is required for removal after surgery (except for some degradable designs);

  •     Dentistry: As an orthodontic traction rope, it utilizes superelasticity to achieve gentle and continuous orthodontic force;

  •     Minimally invasive surgical instruments: Control guide wires for gastroscopes, laparoscopes, and other instruments, capable of flexible turning within complex human body cavities and resistant to corrosion from bodily fluids.

2. Aerospace field

    Utilizing its shape memory property and ability to withstand extreme environments, it is suitable for space and aviation equipment.

  •     Expandable structural components, such as satellite antennas and the deployment cables for solar panels, are folded during launch and regain their original shape through temperature changes after entering space, completing the deployment action;

  •     Elastic connection and shock-absorbing components: used for connecting precision instruments inside aircraft, buffering vibration and shock during flight, and withstanding the high and low temperature variations and radiation environment of space.

3. Industrial field

    Relying on super-elasticity, fatigue resistance, and corrosion resistance, we can enhance the reliability of industrial equipment.

  •     Mechanical transmission and shock absorption: elastic couplings and shock-absorbing cables used in automation equipment can absorb the impact force of mechanical operation and reduce component wear;

  •     Sensors and measurement and control devices: As the sensitive components of pressure and displacement sensors, they utilize the elastic recovery characteristics after deformation to achieve signal detection;

  •     Chemical equipment: used for elastic sealing and traction components in corrosive media environments, resistant to erosion from acid, alkali, and salt solutions.

4. Fishing gear and outdoor sports field

    With its super elasticity and resistance to breaking, it has become the preferred material for high-end fishing gear accessories.

  •     Fishing gear: connecting rope for making fishing lines, traction rope for lure baits, which is not easy to knot and can buffer the pulling force of large fish struggling, reducing the probability of line breakage;

  •     Outdoor sports equipment: elastic connecting ropes for mountaineering gear, securing ropes for diving equipment, etc., which are resistant to wear and corrosion in complex outdoor environments.
