The vapor-liquid filter screen, also known as the vapor-liquid mesh or foam trap, is a specially woven wire mesh widely used in various engineering fields such as wire mesh demisters, oil and gas separators, dust removal, environmental protection, engine noise reduction, and mechanical shock absorption. The vapor-liquid filter screen, ranging from 0.08mm wire diameter to customized corrugations, is made of various materials such as stainless steel and nickel titanium memory alloy wire, accurately woven into the core components of the demister, providing efficient solutions for industrial separation.
The vapor-liquid filter screen has a wide range of applications, and the following are some common aspects:
1、 Chemical industry
Distillation tower: In the distillation process of chemical production, a vapor-liquid filter screen is used in the gas-liquid separator at the top of the tower to effectively separate liquid droplets from the rising steam, improve the purity of the fraction, reduce product loss, and prevent droplets from entering subsequent pipelines and equipment, avoiding corrosion and blockage of the equipment.
Reaction kettle: In some kettle reactors with gas-liquid reactions, a vapor-liquid filter can be installed at the gas outlet to preliminarily filter the gas produced by the reaction, separate the liquid reactants or products carried in, and help improve the efficiency of the reaction and product quality.
2、 Petroleum refining
Vacuum tower: In the process of petroleum vacuum distillation, the vapor-liquid filter plays a key role in gas-liquid separation. Due to the low pressure and high gas flow rate inside the pressure reducing tower, it is easy to carry a large amount of liquid. The vapor-liquid filter can efficiently capture these liquids, ensuring the quality of the gas distilled from the top of the tower, and allowing the reflux liquid to be evenly distributed inside the tower, thereby improving the distillation effect.
Absorption tower: In the gas absorption process of petroleum refining, a vapor-liquid filter screen is used at the top of the absorption tower to prevent the absorbent from being carried out of the tower by the gas, improve the utilization rate of the absorbent, reduce environmental pollution, and ensure that the purified gas meets the specified quality standards.
3、 Pharmaceutical industry
Cleanroom ventilation system: The pharmaceutical workshop needs to maintain a high degree of cleanliness. The vapor-liquid filter is installed in the air handling unit of the ventilation system to remove small droplets and impurities from the air, providing a clean air environment for drug production and preventing drug contamination.

Waste gas treatment equipment: In industrial waste gas treatment, vapor-liquid filter screens are used in equipment such as waste gas washing towers and activated carbon adsorption towers to separate and capture acid and alkali droplets, organic droplets, etc. in the waste gas, prevent droplet discharge into the atmosphere and cause secondary pollution, while improving the effectiveness of waste gas treatment.
Wastewater treatment plant: In the aeration tank and sedimentation tank of the wastewater treatment plant, the vapor-liquid filter can be used to separate the bubbles and liquids generated during the aeration process, as well as the tiny suspended particles in the water after sedimentation, which helps to improve water quality and ensure the normal operation of subsequent treatment processes.
